Brilliant stay. Charming, but modern room with a great balcony and view. Friendly owner with a lovely breakfast too. Recommended.

Fantastic stay on 2nd Jan at Glencree. Lovely room with everything you could possibly need. We especially liked the balcony decking area from our room. A relaxed, unrushed breakfast was a great start to the day. Ideal location for walking up to Windermere or down to Bowness. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to return.

We had room 6 on ground floor which suited us it was a small double but very cosy and spotless.
The tablet had all the info. Though as a digital dinosaur it took mea while to get used to it lovely toiletries and towels and brilliant fresh breakfast lived up to the reviews

Lovely guest house in a great location staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable and tv was Netflix/disney/now tv compatible which was great. Walking distance to both Windermere and bowness-on-Windermere

Cleanliness of the room was outstanding, great bed and ian was a superb host.
Being able to choose your breakfast the day before.

My second visit to Glencree was just as wonderful as the first. The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Our host really made us feel welcome and looked after us brilliantly. It's definitely a place I'll be returning to!

Had a wonderful stay Ian a great host nothink too much trouble even replaced a cafetiere which HE broke breakfast amazing. Still trying to work out how they managed to get the Queen size bed up the spiral staircase. Definitely visiting again great location.

We’ve just had a 2 night stay at Glencree, and it’s been great. The accommodation is top notch and super comfortable. The toiletries supplied are beautiful too. Finally Ian ( our host) cooks a lovely full English breakfast to keep you going all day whilst out and about.

Compact and bijou
Tablet in room didn't work properly on first night, so didn't know options so no order sent, got a full English which was very good, Tablet was replaced but we didn't notice until we were told next morning, was very disappointed with size of room, especially as there was an extra charge for the room we choose, very nicely dressed, but the cushions had to be set on floor leaving even less floor space.

Location is ok for near bus stop, and in the walking distance between Windermere and Bowness, facilities is clean, environment is quiet, staff is polite enough
