We stayed for 2 nights. Unfortunately, this hotel does not live up to its four-star rating on Booking. There was only one roll of toilet paper, which quickly ran out, and our room was not cleaned nor were fresh towels provided during our stay. The room was quite dusty and there were many insects. The rooms themselves don’t differ much from one another, except for the views, which are truly beautiful. However, considering the overall experience, you’re better off choosing the cheapest room option.

Stayed on the top floor organised by our tour guide. The views were amazing! The sunrise was magical with sounds from the local birds and animals! Takeaway breakfast was arranged for our early start. Rooms were clean and newly refurbished. If you book ask for a higher floor. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Amazing place to stay!! unbelievable views of the mountains. Recently renovated and rooms and balconies are perfect!! would definitely recommend to stay here.

We really liked our stay there, we can't understand the bad reviews here. The rooms were clean and had a very beautiful view. You can easily reach the city by foot in 15-20 min. there are also a lot of Tuck-Tucks which could also drive you there. The owner is very nice and helpful he organized us some taxi and showed us some places in Ella. The food was good and freshly cooked, you can't choose from a menu it's not a lot of variety but we liked it very much. Especially the roti with banana and chocolate were very delicious. All of the main attraction are close by. The hotel was pricey but still affordable.

I booked just the most basic room they had and it was incredible! The view was absurdly good!! The people are so nice, it's family run. The owners were approachable and helpful. They included a breakfast with the meal and they also offered a drop off service themselves for going into town or the station! The room was lovely and clean. The bed was incredibly comfy! All in all such a great stay!!

Struttura in posizione molto panoramica. Camera nuovissima con vista spettacolare su Ella Rock e le cascate. Fuori dal caos della cittadina. Arrivando non immagini di trovare un posto così accogliente. Gestito da una famiglia che ogni mattina prepara ottime colazioni espresse con prodotti locali freschi e di qualità. Ogni mattina succhi, pancake, frutta yogurt con ottimo miele serviti in una terrazza panoramica. Un ottimo modo per iniziare la giornata. Il proprietario è presente e ci tiene che tutto vada per il meglio. Bravi!! Si arriva in città in pochi minuti con il tuk tuk e a pochi passi a piedi alcuni ottimi ristoranti per la cena. Super consigliato

We had a lovely room, nicely decorated and good facilities which was located at the top of the hotel with bed and balcony views overlooking Ella Rock and a waterfall. The hotel is located up a winding hill but is easy to find and the hotel can call for a tuktuk within a few minutes to collect you. We arrived very late in the night (1am) and communication with the owner was great, and he made sure to stay up and check us into the room despite the early hours! Breakfast was ok, we had fruit, traditional Sri Lankan sides and egg options, all of which was cooked fresh.

We booked directly with the hotel after scoping out rooms online. On the day of our arrival we were contacted by the hotel stating they didn’t have that room available but had something else for us. And provided pictures when requested. We could tell it wasn’t the ones pictured online but we were assured we would be moved to the renovated rooms after the first night. But man, this first night was really uncomfortable. Old dusty room full of spiders and webs. Sheets with holes. Webs on the bed frames. Door lock was a pad lock. It was strange for sure. Made my skin crawl. :( On the second night they moved us to the renovated part of the hotel. Definitely an upgrade and had that been the only part of the hotel we’d seen. We’d have been happy. Although you can tell, it’s starting to not be up kept. As spider webs are forming in areas of the room. With good upkeep and care this hotel has so much potential. Beautiful view, and attentive breakfast. Monkeys near by. Good proximity to town - away from the noise but a short inexpensive Tuk Tuk into town. I’d say, ensure you’re booking the renovated side and it would be a good value for your money. And totally ok. A steal even. The gentleman at the front desk cared about making sure he could help in whatever way he could. He was up late, and up early helping with breakfast.
