What a place. Our visit started as in went on with a very warm welcome from Sampath and Sandesha despite our very late arrival. I would describe this hotel as a haven. An excellent location just south of Galle (less than half an hour in a tuk tuk) and centrally located for lots of beaches and restaurants along the coast. With lush greenery surrounding the entire villas private terrace and birdseye views of the wildlife including monkeys leaping from tree to tree (and, crucially, not coming near the terrace itself). Everything from the rooms to the swimming pool to the beach to the delicious breakfasts was sublime. But what really made it special was the incredible team of staff.

Мы провели неделю в этой великолепной вилле. Здесь прекрасно все: изысканная обстановка, есть все удобства, чудесная территория, уединенность, сервис! Мы отдыхали несколькими семьями, поэтому заняли все комнаты, все это место было в нашем распоряжении. Детям было чем заняться: бассейн, бильярд, бадминтон, маленький теннис. По утрам можно наблюдать за обезьянами, играющими на полянке и в деревьях вблизи виллы или прогуливающимися варанами. Единственный минус, это расположение вдали от развлечений, ресторанов и хорошего пляжа, но вилла так хороша, что из нее особо и не хочется куда-то ехать. И конечно, очень удобно, что есть повар и весь обслуживающий персонал 24/7. В общем, я рекомендую побывать!

A truly amazing experience! JH is the height of luxury! We stayed in the main house for 4 nights. The house itself you can just tell that no expense has been spared it is absolutely stunning and no pictures could do it justice. Our room with 4 poster bed, glorious bathroom and walk in wardrobe was just perfect, topped off with a beautiful private terrace area with enormous tv and sofa area. The pool area is spectacular, beautiful pool, luxurious sun beds and a sound system all connected via i pad. The grounds are immaculate. Food, absolutely delicious.....I would recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner....it was a delight! The staff are so kind and welcoming, especially Sampath, the general manager who greeted us upon arrival. JH is the perfect location for visiting Galle and the surrounding areas. JH also have a beach house restaurant on the beach....there is no better place to have dinner and watch the sun go down. We are already planning our return trip! Thank you all at JH!

Gorgeous villa. Very clean. Friendly staff with a very good cook. Eco friendly. Beautiful space. Our family had a wonderful holidays. Lots of great facilities including wonderful pool, gym, sauna, billiards,badminton and more. The team looking after you are all very responsive and friendly.

It's had to describe just how beautiful JH villa is but ill give it my best. Myself and my husband were lucky enough to spend time here as a second honeymoon and although the villa can sleep a lot more than just 2 people we never felt like it was too big, its got the warmth and cosiness of a intimate accommodation but the grand uber luxury feeling of something really special. The Pool area is by far the icing on the cake an amazing space to entertain or just have a day to chill. Monkeys frequent the gardens and you wake up to the sound of peacocks. Its high tech too, each room with its own iPad controlling the music, lighting etc there is a button for everything! Tucked away behind private gate it feels like you're in a world of your own, truly peaceful and luxurious every detail has been carefully curated. It is close to its own private beach too! The heart of this stunning villa is the team who run it. Sammy the chef's cooking is just exceptional, (ask for his crab curry you won't be disappointed!) Malan's smile in the morning, afternoon and evening makes you feel at home and there is nothing the team here won't do to make sure your stay is the best. We even had a wonderful 6 day trip around Sri Lanka organised for us. Would i go again? in a heartbeat!

JH is without doubt the finest hotel we have ever stayed in. We wanted somewhere special for our honeymoon and JH surpassed all our expectations! We'd had a week travelling around Sri Lanka before we arrived at JH and stayed in some lovely places during that week but JH topped the lot. From the moment we arrived we felt like millionaires! The villa itself is simply spectacular. Sat within its own private grounds no picture could ever do it justice. Our room itself was beautiful and I can only imagine the amount of time and love that has gone into making JH the place it is. Sri Lankan people are so so friendly and the staff at JH are so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us a far better insight of things to do and places to visit in the area than any guide book or standard tourist guide ever could. You name it we did it - we saw dolphins and whales on a private boat trip, we visited the local turtle sanctuary down the road, went on an elephant safari, had cookery classes and went on the most wonderful train journey. A word about Sri Lanka itself - such a beautiful country with so much to do and see but best of all the loveliest people. As this is a review about JH it would be wrong for me not to leave the last words for them........we have already booked our return stay and there can be no bigger compliment than that!

From the moment we arrived to the very sad moment we left we were treated like royalty. The place is the height of luxury as well as comfort. Perfect to be used as a base for excursions or to just to relax and soak up Sri Lankan hospitality. We visited a local turtle sanctuary and were actually invited to release turtles back into ocean. We also visited a nearby lake which we got to explore by boat and even got to hand feed monkeys. We were dropped off at Cinnamon Island where we were shown the traditional process from tree to tea. There is so much to see and do in Sri Lanka and JH Villa is just the perfect place to call home while there to enjoy a beer in the phenomenal pool/jacuzzi or sit and relax with a cocktail next to the tranquil lily pad filled pond. The fully equipped gym and sauna area looked great but we settled for a game of pool instead! The service at JH Villa was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. Our stay was seamless, we didn't need to worry about anything. All excursions, drivers (Isuru is a diamond), food, local knowledge is 5 star. In fact the only down side was having to say goodbye but we will definitely be back!

This place is absolutely amazing!! I am fortunate to have travelled to many countries and stayed in some beautiful hotels - this place is up there with the very best. Everything about our stay was perfect - the setting, the staff, the attention to absolutely every detail. As you walk into the main reception area you can sense the history of the place and our room and dining area was beautiful. The Pool is a delight and the gym and sauna underneath fabulous. Often we didn't want to leave so beautiful was JH but when we did the wonderful city of Galle is only a short drive up the road as is Unawatuna beach.

Ich war bereits vor vier Jahren ?fters in der JH Villa in Talpe. Leider hat die Villa die letzten beiden Jahre keine Zimmer vermietet. Die Freude war gro?, als ich sah, dass aus der sch?nen Villa sich ein neues, tolles Boutique Hotel entwickelt hat. Die Architektur, die Ausstattung der Villa als auch der Suiten ist einfach hervorragend. Allein wenn ich an die hochwertige Bettw?sche denke, k?nnte ich den ganzen Tag im Bett liegen bleiben. Die Villa und der tolle exotische Garten sowie der traumhafte Infinity Pool laden einfach ein, sich zu entspannen und die Natur zu genie?en. Ganz besonders hat mir dieses Mal der individuelle Service sowie der Butler Service gefallen. Service wird hier gro? geschrieben und man versucht, s?mtliche pers?nlichen Wünsche zu erfüllen. In Summe einfach top – ein must stay in Sri Lanka. Für Individualisten, die Wert auf Natur, Service, hochwertige Ausstattung und ein hervorragendes Essen legen. Vielen Dank noch mal an den Manager, der Villa und dem kompletten Team für den herausragende Service!
