A very pleasant small hotel close to the town centre (particularly using the 94 steps to St Julian’s Avenue). Breakfast was good with a full range of choices. Staff were very pleasant, my room had a great view over the town and harbour. Two small points: can a sign be placed at the Beauregard Lane split from Les Vauxlaurens? I drove around twice before a local confirmed that the hotel was down that seemingly impossibly narrow road. Also, please put a grab handle in the bath to steady oneself in the shower, I was worried about slipping with only the flimsy shower screen to grab (this is a frequent comment of mine).

Dear Tim, Many thnks for your review. Signage is very tightly controlled in Guernsey and I have applied for signage, but this was declined. Sehr gute Lage, exzellent zur F?hre, Am Hang mit sch?nem Blick auf den Hafen. Grosses Zimmer, sehr gutes Restaurant mit tollem Seafood und Frühstück und das gesamte Personal sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

We only stayed one night, and it was a last minute booking as we missed our ferry, so it is hard to fully judge the hotel. The room was spacious and had a great view, but it was slightly disturbing to spot a couple pieces of trash on the balcony, including a muselet. The breakfast was decent enough, though I prefer a buffet to waiter-service for breakfast and the restaurant was the quietest one I have ever been in. The Channel Islands seem to specialize in staff who are grumpy and truculent, and this hotel seems to have collected some of the worst examples - as one example, we wandered through an open door into an empty space, looking for the reception when we first arrived and were barked at by two members of staff.

Preis rechtfertigt die Leistung nicht Toplage direkt in der Stadt und am Hafen. Das Personal ist leider nicht sehr freundlich. Die Bar war schlecht bedient am Abend. In der Suite z.B. keine gratis Früchte, dürftiges Frühstück, kein Kühlschrank in der Suite, Duschen nur in der Badewanne mit sehr hohem Einstieg und ohne Antirutschbelag m?glich... Der Preis für die Suite von ca. 500chf pro Nacht ist in keiner Art und Weise gerecht fertigt.
