hotel is schoon en netjes. kamers en bedden prima. eigenaren niet vriendelijk en kunnen amper Engels. ontbijt heel slecht. pas vanaf 8.00 uur. Alles staat op een tafel en wordt niet gekoeld en of warm gehouden. Brood is oud en droog en er staat 1 vies broodrooster. Eieren zijn koud en geen afwisseling in ontbijt. Personeel wat vriendelijk is wordt afgesnauwd door eigenaars midden in het restaurant. tussen 10 en 14 kun je niets krijgen in het hotel. Strandbedden bij het meer zijn oud en vervallen, in strandbar alleen drinken te verkrijgen. In de avond is alles na 22.00 uur dicht en kun je niets meer krijgen. Zeker geen 4 sterren waard.

We spent two amazing days at Lago Hotel & Spa and absolutely loved it. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the hotel itself is beautifully designed and very relaxing. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view. We also enjoyed the delicious food, especially the breakfast and dinner. The pool was very clean and additionally had sun beds in the water. Across the street you directly find the lake Ohrid. Also perfect to relax, swim or do SUP. Everything about our stay felt high-quality. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Hotel espectacular en instalaciones y frente a la playa del lago con aguas transparentes y limpias.Hamacas del propio hotel. Piscina tranquila y con buenas hamacas. El personal amabilísimo desde recepción,restaurante y todo en general. Un 10. Repetiria sin dudarlo.

Lago hotel is a beautiful modern hotel located right at the side of Lake Ohrid. There is a little stony beach opposite the hotel where free sun-beds are available to guests staying at the hotel . There is also a cute little beach bar where you can also hire paddle boards from. The lake view rooms and balcony have the most spectacular lake and sunset views from them. The hotel was spotlessly clean and always smelled fresh. The cleaning staff were friendly and polite when we saw them each morning. The reception team were all lovely and very helpful, especially Vladimir and Philip who made us feel most welcome. The restaurant was nice and the food we had was mainly good apart from one disappointing lunchtime experience which I describe more fully on separate restaurant review. The beds are super comfy and the hotel decor and fixture and fittings are good quality . The pool is spotlessly clean with some sun-beds and parasols available to use around it . Breakfast was included and all very good . Taxis can be ordered from reception 500 denar into Ohrid town & 1500denar to airport . Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing break on Lake Ohrid . We will be back !!

What a beautiful hotel, small and friendly and newly renovated. The pool is the cleanest I have ever seen. The rooms are impeccable and the team clean it each morning and give fresh towels. The food and drinks in the restaurant are delicious. The location is perfect right on the beach with a small supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Taxis are around 500mkd to the centre or there is a bus too that’s very cheap. The staff are the most friendly helpful staff I have ever encountered. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in room 24 for one week. Located on the top floor near the stairs. This room has a large balcony with a table/chairs, and two sun loungers. The balcony looks over the road/lake. The hotel felt like home, on a couple of occasions we needed help with things such as superglue and a pair of pliers. The reception staff couldn't do enough for us. Vladimir the owner was particularly cheerful and kind. We also really liked the young lady with curly blonde hair, sorry we didn't get your name. She was cheerful and smiley. Room 24 had two comfortable (medium softness) single beds, which we pushed apart against the walls to create more space. The air conditioning was excellent. The bathroom although small, was modern, clean and adequate in every way. A hair dryer was provided that had enough power to blow dry my hair fairly easily. There are no kettles, so brits, bring your own. We didn't need hot drinks, we used the fridge to keep our cold drinks icy cold. Fridge can fit 3 x1.5litre bottles, plus a few extra bits. There was an ice box, but no ice tray. The pool is small, but adequate. We were mostly out during the day exploring the sights and mountains. The one day we stayed in the hotel, we got up early to secure a good spot around the pool. We got a good corner with sun shade. The pool isn't heated which is perfectly fine in summer as the cooling water is welcomed. The lake across the road is not the best place to relax, because of the road noise. There are better places to find slightly to the north, where you can hire beds at several other places. Or even better go to the beautiful St Naum beach. We didn't ask, but the lake sunloungers don't seem to be exclusively for hotel guests to use, which may be problematic in high season. Pool/beach towels were provided. The spa is not yet built. The restaurant is very good, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Bear in mind the way food is served in Macedonia is different to how service is done in west europe or americas. But, we found this to be the case in every restaurant we ate at. The breakfast was tasty; I enjoy a continental breakfast. The bean to cup coffee machine was fantastic, producing coffee shop quality cappuccino/latte etc. My other half who likes full english breakfast or similar, was disappointed with the breakfast but always found something to eat. The only negative about this hotel, is the parking. There is hotel parking, which is reserved for hotel guests. But, we found that this was not respected on busy days as locals/other visitors ignore the reserved cones placed for hotel guests. On a couple of days we returned from a long day trip to find no available parking. Again I think this is a cultural thing part of Macedonia; we had stuggles with parking in other locations. We stay 3 days for an extended weekend, accompanied with friend and we are very satisfied. Excellent accommodation, tasty food, very professional staff and extraordinary location having in mind that the beach is next to the hotel. Highly recommended for holidays and short stays.

This hotel is beyond satisfaction. Absolutely 11/10, probably the best on the riviera. We stayed there for 6 nights and it is not enough. Simply pure elegance. The restaurant in the hotel is unmatched, from the design to ambience to staff everything is stunning. The food is PERFECT. Look no further, thank me later!

Excellent restaurant, great atmosphere. The view of the lake is absolutely spectacular. We were couple staying there for four days but it was not enough, we couldn't say goodbye to the food :D. It was absolutely amazing, we have tried everything on the menu and loved it. The menu offers a lot of choices, definitely recommend the Black Angus burger, it is unparalleled. Lake fish was very good as well. Hats off to our staff, we'll be visiting you again surely. Thank you for the kindest welcome

We have stayed at the hotel three or four times now, and seen the hotel become better and better year by year. It has an amazing pool side, everything is so clean and tidy. The food is great and the hotel manager and his staff are amazingly friendly. The spa department is almost finished and Im looking forward to see and experience the hotel again next time Im in Ohrid.
