It was ok for 3 nights for the price we paid but we had to power through to get through those 3 nights. Unfriendly welcome - felt more of a hassle than a welcome. Bar/restaurant advertised as being on site - was closed on a Friday night we arrived. Was only open on the Saturday evening but only 3 items on the food menu. If you don’t have a scooter, very limited to where you can go for food that’s in walking distance. Cocktails nice - advertise they did happy hour 5-7pm - went up at 6:45pm and was charged full price as the lady said the happy hour finished at 6pm and showed us a different menu that was on our table & in our room. (We also went up for a cocktail at 6:15pm and still got happy hour price.) Toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for years - no toilet brush in the bathroom - otherwise I’d of cleaned it myself - it was disgusting! Shower broke on us - she did mention they were in the process of upgrading the bathrooms - definitely needed! Again, felt a hassle telling her the shower was broke as though it was our fault (which it wasn’t). Every slightest bit of wind, the hut felt like it was going to fall down on us. It was boarded up in random places to cover the holes. On the plus side - it did have a new air con unit. Breakfast got worse as the days went on. Last day we got 2 pieces of fruit each, a small glass of milk, bread & some butter & a little bit of jam that was enough for 1 person. (No yoghurt, juice etc as advertised.) My partner thought the first day they’d only dropped off 1 persons breakfast & had made a mistake - they hadn’t! No housekeeping - scraps bucket never emptied in the 4 days we were there, so sure enough woke up in the middle of the night to a huge gecko having a feast. Bed sheets had mold on them. Reception open 4 hours a day - if that. We barely saw anyone most of the time. Beach looks nice but that where it ends. Much nicer clearer water around the island & wouldn’t snorkel here. Overall, I’ve stayed in better backpackers for much less money.
