We had the most amazing stay at Prana Lodge! Everything was absolutely perfect — from the beautiful setting to the incredible attention to detail. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay special. We truly felt relaxed and spoiled from start to finish. Can’t wait to visit again!
We booked in for Women’s Day Lunch at Prana Lodge. The choices in the menue, the quality and the presentation of the food were awesome. Service was perfect as usual. Thank for this special experience.
Prana is always lovely, but there are adjustments that can be made to improve which I also gave to the team directly and via the survey. The experience was great other than the fact that we had to wait for our steam session because it was assumed we would get into the sauna first. Asking beforehand would help. The fish at the restaurant could have done with better and more seasoning.
Beautiful big room with outside shower. The outside shower area can be full of leaves and branches on a windy day and I would advise more frequent attention to that. The service needs some attention. Good food. I think that there needs to be more information given to people about the danger of crossing the river close by the hotel as we experienced great difficulty crossing when the tide is in.
Prana Lodge is a great little gem on the Eastern cape with a beautiful coastal location. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable but the food in the restaurant was out of this world. It is Michelin star worthy! The staff are incredibly friendly and the services offered at the spa were superb. If you want to spoil yourself, stay here!

Um es vorwegzunehmen - die Prana Lodge reiht sich für uns ein ins Niveau folgender Top-Beach- Hotels, bzw. unseren bisherigen Favoriten: Anantara Bazaruto Mocambique Veligandu Island Resort Maldives El Nido Resort Pangulasian Philippines Pangkor Laut Resort Malaysia Tugu Hotel Lombok Indonesia Dwarika′s Resort Dhulikhel Nepal (nicht am Strand, aber atmosph?risch ?hnlich) Die Atmosph?re ist ein Stück weit asiatisch, nicht durch gewolltes Design, sondern durch Wegführungen & die ganz entspannte Atmosph?re. Lage: Von der N2 relativ gut erreichbar, nur 15 km auf der Nebenstrasse runter nach Chintsa East, achtsam fahren, Schlagl?cher & Tiere ;-). Resort ist gut ausgeschildert. Es liegt oberhalb des atemberaubenden Strands. Von den verstreut liegenden 8 Villen/Bungalows sind es ca. 5-10 minuten zum Dünenrand oberhalb des Strandes. Restaurants/Bars in vernünftiger Laufn?he gibt es nicht. Wer aber die Preise für die Zimmer zahlen kann, ist auch in der Lage, die wirklich fairen Preise im Restaurant und in der Bar zu zahlen, zumal die Atmosph?re herrlich ist. Im Grunde muss man die Anlage nicht verlassen. Am Dünenrand befinden sich auf einer kleinen Terrasse Stühle- und Liegestühle mit herrlichem Blick aufs Meer, man kann hier also bei einem Drink die Aussicht geniessen. Vom Dünenrand führen steile Treppen runter zum Beach, für G?ste mit Gehproblemen schwierig. Check In: Am Checkpoint bekommt man einen Willkommenszettel mit Namen, das ist schonmal eine sehr sch?ne Aufmerksamkeit. Parken an der Rezeption zum ausladen, dann auf den nahegelegenen Parkplatz. Effizienter & entspannt-kommunikativer Empfang, bereits hier wird gefragt, ob man Dinner hat und was man denn bevorzuge. Das ist natürlich erste Klasse, siehe meine extra-Bewertung für das Restaurant. Anlage: Verstreute Suiten im "Dschungel", die Forest Suite und die Diamond Villa liegen erh?ht, letztere mit Blick aufs Meer. Es gibt einen Spa Bereich (sehr zu empfehlen, good value for money & top qualit?t), und einen kleinen Pool beim Restaurant. Pool ist hier aber nicht das grosse Thema. Zimmer: Wir haben uns die Diamond Villa geg?nnt und das war die richtige Entscheidung. Herrliche Terrasse mit Blick auf`s Meer, Klassisch-helles Interieur, kleiner Aussenpool, der abgedeckt war und nicht mit frischem Wasser gefüllt (einziger Minuspunkt, wir h?tten ihn aber ohnehin nicht benutzt und daher auch nicht reklamiert). Fantastisches riesiges Ankleide- / Badezimmer, separate Mega-Dusche (Aussendusche auch draussen am Pool) & WC, herrliche Betten, alle Annehmlichkeiten, Handtücher, Badem?ntel vom Feinsten. Alle Fenster weit zu ?ffnen, man schwebt f?rmlich über dem Dschungel und dem fantastischen Meer. Die Terrasse ist wundervoll, Sternenhimmel nicht vergessen !
