Abbiamo soggiornato una notte , giusto per avere una overview più ampia della struttura visto che io e la mia compagna l'abbiamo scelta per il nostro matrimonio. C'è poco da dire, la struttura è fantastica, il ristorante regala momenti di livello assoluto meditando perfettamente tra tradizione e innovazione. In stanza abbiamo trovato una bottiglia di benvenuto, sul resto nulla da dire; il bagno turco nella doccia è stato il quid in più.

Our son and his wife had their wedding here on October 4, 2025 and I cannot sat enough good things about the resort. The staff went above and beyond. The food was excellent. The rooms are stunning. It was a perfect experience.

When we first arrived it didn’t look or feel as nice as the photos . We booked an entry level room as we were staying for 7 nights and it add up. We could not stay in the tiny space for a whole week. We were going to leave and stay at a friends Villa . But David the owner and manager was kind to offer us a much larger room at only €100 more a night . The larger rooms are GORGEOUS newly renovated , roomy. Huge Steam shower and massive two person jet tub. David and his staff along with his Mamma make this hotel very special . It was thur family home and farm year ago. David renovated and turned it into a lovely hotel. There are still some things to iron out . But David the owner really cares and works from Dawn into the night making sure the guest are happy and improving the hotel. We loved our stay and will return.

We had a spa suite because we needed to accommodate our two Daughters. Two beds were placed in our room with plenty of space left for us. The room was spotless and very quiet. We had a warm welcome and were shown to our room quickly. We had a lot of correspondence with Sophia and Greta before we arrived. We wanted to make sure they knew we would be arriving late due to a late evening flight into Pisa. We also arranged a horse riding experience. Communication was excellent and the holiday was perfect. We stayed for 1 week. The hotel setting is picturesque and peaceful. The buffet breakfast is plentiful. We ate lunch and dinner and the food was fresh and of excellent quality. The wine was excellent too. David (the owner of the hotel) is always around and is friendly, helpful and passionate about the hotel and the food and wine and it really made our experience here. We will return.

The cuisine rivals every multiple Michelin Star restaurant I have dined at around the world. We experienced a multi course dinner immersed in local integrity and creative clarity. If you’re seeking a dining experience like no other in Tuscany that’s both rooted in tradition and elevated in execution, Relais la Corte dei Papi is the gastronomic destination you must experience.

I cannot recommend a trip to Relias La Corte Dei Papi enough! The property is beautiful, serene, and idyllic for a Tuscan getaway. We had dinner on site all three nights of our stay, which was always incredible and it was so nice to not have to leave the property. Also during our stay my husband and I took a cooking class with one of their chefs which was so fun and one of the highlights of our trips. David and his entire staff are wonderful and were extremely helpful throughout our stay.

We stayed for a week for our 25th wedding anniversary and I don’t think we could have found anywhere better for the price anywhere in Europe. It’s small and quiet, and if that is what you are looking for (we were) then it’s perfect! In the daytime it’s very relaxed and friendly, no one hassles you to consume food or drink that you might not want, if you do want something, just ask. There is no signing room chits every time you want a beer or coffee. In the evening they put on the most amazing Tuscan fine dining experience, quite outstanding and worth the money – we ate in four times in a week! The nearby town of Cortona has everything that you could wish for in a Tuscan hill town, even the preserved body of a Saint (Margarita – patron saint of cocktails?) and it’s an ideal base for exploring southern Tuscany – Sienna is less than an hour away. There is nothing else of interest in the village of Pergo, so you will need a car – preferably with sat nav! It’s less than one hour from Perugia airport and we found the flight times from Stansted more convenient than say Florence which would entail a longer drive too, but bear in mind that until the airport is rebuilt Perugia is pretty dire even by Ryanair standards! The bill came to just under 3000 euros for the week, we had one of the best rooms and we didn’t want for anything. A special thanks to David, the proprietor, and his staff for making us so welcome!

The stunning Villa is situated in the picturesque Tuscan countryside with manicured grounds, complete with swimming pool and offers delicious dining from the quality restaurant. The rooms are beautifully appointed and David (the owner who restored the ancestral home), his mother and staff make you feel welcome and ensure your stay is thoroughly enjoyable. It is close to Cortona and surrounding vineyards without the bus loads of tourists that populate other historic villages in the region. If you would like to experience an authentic Tuscan villa, this is the one!

We loved our stay at this small boutique tuscan hotel. The grounds and pool were wonderful. Our room was cozy and comfortable, but next time we'll probably choose to upgrade to a larger room. The service was impeccable. David is ALWAYS there, and I don't think he ever sleeps. He is obviously passionate about his hotel and guests. Our favorite part was the food. The breakfast buffet was the best spread we had in our 2 week tour of Italy. We looked forward to the best cappuccino and freshest cheeses, breads, croissants, and pastries every morning. Eating outside on the beautiful grounds next to the pool was a definite bonus. The location was easy with a cool local bar/gelateria right down the block and Cortona was an quick 10 minute drive with easy parking. Driving through the hills and towns of Tuscany was our favorite part of Italy, and when we return, the Relais La Corte dei Papi will certainly be on our list of musts.

David was an amazing host who showed us the property, then proceeded to serve us the most incredible meal paired with outstanding wine! A must when visiting Cortona or to have the perfect wedding or event! We loved it! The rooms and property was immaculate and the restaurant should be reviewed by Micheline!
