Lovely history to the building we stayed in of which part of which was the hotel. Felt very safe.
Luca, the host was great and made us feel very welcome.
Very easy walking access to all the local shops and restaurants including the marinas and ports.
The private garden was very tranquil. The pool looked stunning but the water was quite cold so not the best for a leisurely swim.
No hesitation in recommending this as a place to stay in Sorrento.

If you want a plastic hotel, this may not be for you; if you want an oasis, a few minutes stroll to the marina, piazza, churches, old town then, this tickes the boxes.
Quaint hotel centrally located in Sorrento, giving easy access to tours, shops and restaurants. Luca, the host, is wonderful at providing options for places to try and suggestions for anything along the coast. Place is beautiful and feels like a little piece of home.
This IS the place to stay in Sorrento. Centrally located Short walk to the main square and marina (plus the lift back up!) Lots of places to eat nearby. Clean tidy rooms with nice bathroom, mini bar, kettle, safe and shower. Short walk to AWESOME patisserie Monica’s (thanks Luca) and the little supermarket. This really is an oasis, lovely garden, pool and patio. Luca is a wonderful host, knowledgeable and SO helpful with choosing tours. Don’t expect 5 star plastic accommodation; find a place you can call a base to explore and relax when you need. Down side- we didn’t want to leave.
This was our first stop of our 16 day Italian adventure and we can only hope the rest of our hosts and accommodations are as wonderful as Luca and Relais La Rupe! Our room was stunning, the location is perfect - just a short walk to shopping and amazing restaurants. Luca provided us with tour recommendations, a personal tour, arranged transportation from the airport and to the train station and made dinner reservations that served delicious local flavor!

The hotel was very comfortable. Beds were excellent and the room was spacious for luggage and souvenirs. Luca explained everything when we arrived and had several suggestions for excellent restaurants. We could not ask for a more gracious host. He helped out and even made reservations for us at restaurants. This location is very convenient to everything in Sorrento. I highly recommend this stay.
