I had late check out and hotel staff attempted to enter my room multiples times between the hours of 8-11am, unannounced. Really frustrating, and even after I called 5 times people kept trying to come in my room unannounced. Not a Marriot experience :(

This is a great hotel, in a great location. It's newly remodeled. Excellent restaurants. Unique beach club. I had only one complaint...the pillows are terrible. Way overstuffed and they offer no other options. This is poor for a hotel of this level.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful! Rooms are always clean! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The Seagate club at the beach is beautiful.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Seagate and we plan to return! The location is excellent - lots of great restaurants in easy walking distance on Atlantic Avenue. There is also a hotel shuttle for short distances. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed, with comfortable beds. Most rooms have a street view or no view with a few having a pool view. The gym is small but good enough for a quick workout. The hotel pool is nice, as is the beach club pool. The beach club is a 15 min walk or a quick shuttle ride from the hotel. The beach is great and they set you up with beach chairs and umbrellas. Juan at the beach club is amazing - so friendly and attentive. All the staff at the hotel were also very friendly and helpful.

The room was extremely clean and the staff was as good or better than anywhere else in the world. Our shower got warm but not hot and they were doing construction at the beach club pool that was less than desirable, but would not hesitate to visit again.

Staff were amazing at the bar, coffee shop and manager Austin was always available. Housekeeping was super fast. Rooms are immaculate and the beach club and pool the same. Will definitely be back.

The hotel staff is very friendly. Although we did not get the room with the “Pool View” as we had paid more for it, and housekeeping was not always doing a very good job in cleanliness , the room was very comfortable, the a/c unit was quiet and the room temperature was excellent. The shuttle service was an amazing plus. The location was great!!

I vacation at the seagate every year, love this place. Great location, spacious and beautiful rooms, friendly and helpful staff. They could still improve a few things like making their rooms less austere feeling, but overall it’s one of my favorite spots.
I will say the food at the beach club feels like it’s gone down in quality a bit. Sushi was awful and the main dishes were nothing special. Which is a bummer because they used to be more of a foodie spot, now it’s just typical beach food.

Когда мы искали место, где отдохнуть на Шри-Ланке, мы хотели небольшой отель, чтобы было как можно меньше людей, подальше от суеты. Этот отель находится в пригороде Калутары, на расстоянии, но добраться до него можно на тук-тук. Про отель в российском сегменте отзывов очень мало. И мы решили рискнуть. Итак, отель. Он небольшой. Стоит на самом берегу океана. В отеле три этажа, номера только на втором. Номера стандартного размера. Нам вдвоем не было тесно. В трех номерах, что мы посетили, были огромные двуспальные кровати и третья дополнительно односпальная. Ремонт ?уставший?, как это принято говорить. Все номера с видом на океан. Кондей, чайник, вода. Розетки подходят под наши в комнате, в ванной нет. Берите с собой спрей от москитов, мы еще дополнительно брали фумигатор. Отель в целом рассчитан на внутренний туризм. Пока мы там были 10 дней, была всего одна пара на несколько дней. В остальные дни мы были одни, совсем одни. Мне это понравилось. Бассейн весь наш, все сотрудники отеля заняты нами. Правда, все же вечеринки местные и свадьбы там проходят. Вечеринки у них тухлые, к слову. Свадьбы были красивые, национальный колорит. В отеле три больших зала для таких мероприятий. Звукоизоляция- это то, что меня очень сильно порадовало! Это всего второй отель на моем опыте, в котором хорошая звукоизоляция! Еда. Еда у них острая. Мы всегда просили при заказе, чтобы делали не острое. ??срабатывала не всегда. Множество кари в разных проявлениях. Все по меню, готовят, что закажете накануне. Есть европейское меню. Порции очень большие, мы вдвоем одним блюдом наедались и часто еще оставалось. Кормили на убой. Очень сытные завтраки, несколько видов. Цены умеренные. Морепродукты все свежие. На пляже еще местные рыбаки оставляют свои лодки. И оттуда же они закидывают сети для рыбалки. Очень интересный процесс, несколько дней наблюдала. Они еще свои местные кричалки для подбадривания кричали. Персонал в отеле очень добрый, обходительный. На любой вопрос ответят, все расскажут, покажут, помогут организовать трансфер куда требуется.
