Sweet, small property with individual cabins. We stayed in their smallest option, which had a queen bed and twin bed, couch, chair, and outdoor seating. We were very close to the pool and restaurant, which had fun cocktails and middle eastern food.

Ein sehr sch?ner und ruhiger Ort. Gut zum relaxen. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir waren in einem der zwei Baumhaus Rooms. Sehr sch?n gemacht und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal und Yael sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch der Weg über den Steg durch die Mangroven ist zu empfehlen und abenteuerlich zum wundersch?nen Strand. Great place to be and relax!
This is an amazing experience! The food is beyond great! So many great flavors and a staff that is so kind! The vibe is just what you need for your Pura Vida! Make this spot a must go for brunch!! You will not regret a meal here, and keep coming back to give everything a try!
I LOVED staying here! This lovely little hotel and restaurant is nestled in out of the way Playa Avellanas - from behind the front gate you would have no idea what awaits beyond! The hotel is laid out as a number of small seperate buildings set in a butterfly garden like setting - literally butterflies everywhere, monkeys often overhead, resident lizards near the large salt water pool. We stayed in one of the newer family rooms and loved it - great kitchen for when we needed it, comfortable sleeping areas and a lovely bathroom (it counts, right?). The food at the restaurant is superlative, and great for vegetarians. We loved being so close to the beach and to the funky Esquina de Avellanas, which is an awesome outdoor dining and hang out setting just down the road. Would absolutely stay here again !
Had a wonderful week in Costa Rica courtesy of Yael and her wonderful staff. The breakfast was delicious, the neighbourhood remote and yet with many great food and beach options within both walking and driving distance. Both ourselves and our 4 year old daughter loved it! Personal tip, the Treehouse is absolutely worth the price difference.
Great location, great staff and great owners. SoulShine is the perfect stay for Avellanas. Food is amazing. We stayed in the new tree house room #9 and the layout and accommodations were perfect for our family of four. Everything is brand new. #9 does have a cool tree in the main living room so they are yet to make that waterproof when it rains but didn't cause a major issue and if you are staying in Avellanas, it adds to the charm of an off the beaten path destination.
The best place to stay near Playa Avellanas! The rooms are comfortable, and Yael and Angie make you feel so welcome. Obviously much has been said about the breakfasts, and for good reason: every dish is delicious, generous, and filling. There are multiple ways of accessing the beach and the many excellent food choices nearby.
Brother and I stayed there July 6-10th and had a great time. Place was beautiful. Owners were awesome and the food was REALLY good. I had never had the types of breakfasts that are served there and glad I tried it. Delicious and fresh. Good location and safe place. Would return!
The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable.. The air conditioning worked well. The pool was beautiful and refreshing. The grounds were amazing with beautiful plants and flowers. Not a huge selection on the menu but everything I ordered was delicious. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Angie arranged transportation to Tamorindo and a fabulous in-house massage. And seeing the monkeys was a special treat.
