Yes, it is most definitely lovely and clean, great location in that it is at the furthest end of Paignton, and the walk along the sea front is great. We had lovely weather. There are a few pub/hotels not far which we had food in. Our room was very small, shower too compact, but the sea view was amazing, and hearing the sound of the waves very soothing. One grumble - we couldn't access our room until 5pm. Not sure why this late? We could drop bags off but then had to fill our time. Apparently there was a cost if we wanted to get in earlier. Breakfast - need to place your order the day before. Not a problem but would rather be able to help myself to cereals, fruit, jam/marmalade/honey etc. but the cooked breakfast was excellent. I found the host very nice and friendly. I would like to go back to this hotel but book a bigger room next time. We had a lovely time helped by amazing weather.

We stayed here for a few days over the bank holiday 23rd May to 25th May. The first thing to note is this hotel is a privately owned family run hotel. This is by far the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, immaculate from top to bottom. The owners Peter and Ruth are the best of hosts, noting is too much trouble and we always felt and ease and welcome. Ruth is an amazing cook, best food I’ve had at a hotel in a long time. Peter runs a slick service front of house and the bar is well stocked. My wife and I were sad to leave as we felt like we were at home. We will be back. Mr and Mrs Thorpe.

Stayed for 4 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend. Channel View is in a perfect location with lots to do nearby. Lovely room with great view (Room 5) Everything was high quality & tastefully decorated. Comfy beds & tea/coffee facilities what more could you ask for. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this fabulous hotel. Couldn't fault it. Location was ideal, within walking distance of the town, but in a quieter location. The hotle was decorated wonderfully and our room was clean, with a comfortable bed. Though, not the biggest of rooms, it was perfectly adequate and had fantastic views of the bay. Breakfast was perfect for us as my husband loved the full English and I much prefer a continental. Home made yogurt with berry compot and a different smoothie each day was delicious. Peter was the perfect host and very knowledgeable. We would definitely love to return sometime definitely recommend The Channel View Hotel to friends.

Erstaunlich ger?umiges Zimmer (Nr. 2, mit ?Gartenblick“ – bedeutet: auf einen gro?en Sommerflieder). Gro?er Schrank. Gro?e Kommode. Sehr gute Rainshower-Dusche. Spiegelschr?nkchen im Bad mit zwei Türen. Licht und Entlüftung im Bad mit Bewegungsmelderfunktion. Gutes WLAN. Gro?er Flachbildfernseher. Steckdosen mit je zwei USB-Anschlüssen. Sehr gute Fenster. Tee, Kaffee, Wasserkocher und Milch im Zimmer. Hervorragendes Frühstück und Abendessen. Gro?artiger Blick von der Terrasse auf die Torbay. Lage direkt am Meer. Parkplatz unmittelbar vor dem Hotel. Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns: 1. Das Bett knarzt. Beim Umdrehen gew?hnt man sich daran. Bei rhythmischen Bewegungen st?rt es ;) 2. ?Gartenblick“ bedeutet auch: Blick auf die unmittelbar angrenzende Bahnlinie. Bei geschlossenem Fenster h?rt man die Züge ged?mpft. Das war für uns, auch nachts, kein Problem, es schadet aber nicht, es zu wissen. 3. Im Zimmer steht ein gro?er Ledersessel als einzige Sitzgelegenheit. Sinnvoller w?re stattdessen ein Tisch mit Stuhl.

A great adult only boutique hotel with superb views over Torbay . stayed in one of the suites overlooking Paignton pier.there is a railway line behind but it didn’t spoil our stay at all . The hotel has a bistro serving delicious small plate tapas which was very nice. We had 5 dishes which left us feeling full

The Straits View Hotel is a old hotel since 1960. So, you can have the classic vibe here, eventhough it had been refurbish maybe a few times. This is my first time staying here and it reminds me about the Pantai Lido. Pantai Lido was a beach opposite this hotel before the existing of Danga Bay. And know, Pantai Lido had turn to 8 lanes road.
