Spectacular place with luxury zen like atmosphere. Close to everything but feels quiet and tranquil. Worth every penny. Staff are wonderfully attentive and the Kawa store just outside the Ploce gate is a must visit! I loved the fact that they could store my crazy big suitcase in the store without me having to lug it.

Charming attic room, perfect for our needs and with a lovely view over the rooftops of the old city. We arrived at the city gate in torrential rain and were met by someone from the Byron who guided us through the streets and helped us with our luggage. She was lovely and so good humoured despite getting drenched. The Byron is perfectly positioned in the centre of the old city, quiet and comfortable, with very elegant decor. To be recommended.

Love this small boutique hotel. Well located in town on a quiet side street. Wide stairs make hauling luggage easy and they can arrange a porter for a fee. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. I really enjoyed the small kitchenette cabinet. It has all you need to have a light meal with a refrigerator, cooktop, microwave/oven, sink, cups, plates utensils, and even a coffee press. The outdoor market, store and bakery are within a few short blocks. And the AC at night was nice.

Stayed in the Cathedral Room. It was lovely, well-provisioned, and an incredible base for our explorations. Sanja and Jon were amazing hosts, starting with a walking tour as we made our way from KAWA -- their intriguing store -- to the tucked-away-but-close-to-everything refuge of the Byron. Exactly as advertised; would happily return!

Sehr sch?nes kleines G?stehaus inmitten Dubrovnik old town. Ich wurde von Jon im Kawashop sehr nett empfangen. Er hat mir einige Tipps mit auf den Weg gegeben bzgl. Frühstück, interessante Orte in der Altstadt und Restaurants fürs Abendessen. Von dort aus habe ich erstmal die Altstadt erkundet. Es ist alles fu?l?ufig sehr gut erreichbar. Gegen Mittag konnte ich dann in mein wundersch?nes Cathedral Zimmer einziehen. Mit dem Gep?ck wurde mir geholfen. Pro gro?em Gep?ckstück zahlt man € 10.- vom Kawa zum G?stehaus. Das Zimmer ist, wie auch das gesamte G?stehaus, sehr sch?n renoviert und eingerichtet, ger?umig und mit allem ausgestattet was man ben?tigt um sich wohl zu fühlen. Super bequemes Bett und sch?nes, kleines Bad. Das G?stehaus liegt am Rand der Altstadt und befindet sich in einer Seitenstra?e, nahe der Kathedrale. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen sodass man Nachts hervorragend schlafen kann. Eine kleine Badestelle befindet sich in unmittelbarer N?he. Die Altstadt l?sst sich von dort aus hervorragend erkunden und man hat es am Abend nicht weit zu den Restaurants und Bars. Vielen Dank Jon. Ich komme bestimmt wieder!

We stayed at the Byron last week of April and thoroughly enjoyed the place. Excellent, quiet location right in the middle of Old Town. The owners have done an outstanding job furnishing it giving it a very homely feeling. We also met the owners Mr and Mrs Clive, a very fine couple, who came across as very keen to get customer feedback and enhance service experience. Hands down, we would recommend this property to anyone who wants to have a super comfortable stay and enjoy the beautiful town of Dubrovnik. We loved it.

Beautiful guest house in the heart of the old city. Rooms are large and comfortable, with amazing touches -- we stayed in the Cathedral room which has a hideaway kitchenette. The beds are on the soft side. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the gate to the city so be prepared to carry your bags or hire one of the baggage services. This is NOT a hotel but rather rooms rented out but the cleaning services were outstanding, and the hosts were very available, both at the Cafe they run and by text. They had lots of recommendations for secret places to visit and restaurants to eat at and all their recommendations were excellent!

I am not sure where to begin! First of all, the small boutique hotel is so so darling. Perfectly boho AND incredibly comfortable and so accommodating. The location is perfect. John and his wife are beyond helpful and kind to make sure our stay was perfect. We met the owner-he too was amazing. To add to everything else that is in your room - a small cool kitchen armoire, a really comfy bed, lovely robes and slippers, etc, they are installing washers and dryers on the ground floor. WOW is what you will say after staying here!! Thank you Byron for helping us end our Croatian trip on such a high note!

Staying at The Byron quite simply is the best choice in The old town of Dubrovnik. Communication from Jon beforehand then arriving at the store KAWA and being escorted through the town while he pointed out things of interest was a huge plus. From the moment you walk through the incredible old front door and walk up the stairways you feel like you are entering somewhere special, beautiful beams, whitewashed walls, music playing very softly in the background… I was elated that I had stumbled across it while searching for somewhere to stay. I was in the Cathedral room, It felt like I had my own apartment. Very spacious room, huge French bed and furniture with a cute table and two chairs under the window made you want to sit peacefully before venturing out for the day. An incredible hand made unit which concealed a fridge, sink and cooking facilities, not forgetting the beautifully tiled and designed bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries completed the stay. There is no ‘hotel reception’ however you have Jon’s number should you need anything and it only added to my experience that I felt I owned such an amazing place right in the middle of Dubrovnik. The location is minutes away from the bars, restaurants and harbour. The plus for me staying here was being able to walk 40 seconds outside to a secret hole in the city wall onto platforms from which you can swim. Beach towels were available in the rooms. Dubrovnik was beautiful. Walking the walls is a must! There was a bar half way along with an incredible view to sit and contemplate life which was fabulous just before the sun dropped. Breakfast overlooking the water at Gradska Kavana Arsenal was a delight and so reasonable. Great vegetarian food at Soul Kitchen, a 35 minute walk to a quiet secret beach Sveti Jakov with views of the old town and rounded off by watching the sunset first at the fortress and then on the platforms at Buza bar all make me want to return and for longer… The Byron would without doubt be my first choice of places to stay.

We an awesome experience at The Byron in Dubrovnik. What a lovely place to stay in the heart of it all. Well designed, decorated, and extremely chic! Great job on the design of this lovely space. Highly Recommend.
