Absolutely Gorgeous food I have lived in the peak district for 10 years and only just discovered this place. Went for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely stunning. Not only was the food beautifully prepared. The service was exceptional and the place is absolutely spotless will definitely be re-visiting

Me and my partner have been here a couple of times now. The staff are lovely, the food is amazing with such big portions at a reasonable price. The rooms are modern and clean and the bed is so comfortable. The rooms are also a decent size. Would 100% recommend.

La Posada del Canal es preciosa, todo está cuidado al detalle y Vicky es una anfitriona encantadora. El desayuno está fenomenal. Y la zona tiene mucho atractivo turístico.

Attention c'est plus une chambre d'hotes qu'un hotel
En plus un border collie est déjà trop grand, j'ai cru que l'on devait faire demi tour
J'avais spécifié avec parking car on re trait de voyage et il est inexistant
Sinon très calme mais un peu loin de tout

Food was really nice. Atmosphere was a shame. Very loud pub with a lot of bad language. Not a nice place to eat with this in the background. Dogs are welcome which is great. All the food looked great. Staff were also good. The problem might just have been a one off.

Lovely traditional posada
Super friendly stopover. Our hostess was very attentive and welcomed and accomodated our dogs. Very comfy bed and nice traditional rooms. Quiet and tranquil. A nice home cooked supper.

When recently in the area on a long weekend we tried The Canal as it had been recommended. We were glad we did as the food and beer are great . I had a burger and wife had a chicken and leek pie.Both were delish. This and their own brewed ale pleased us a lot, so did the bill. And the pub has the cleanest loos I have ever seen in any pub anywhere!
