We had a lovely night at the hotel . The staff there are very welcoming, it was lovely and warm, . The room we had was clean and everything you would need The breakfast was very nice . Thank you

Stayed in the commodore after a 4 hour trip from London and only needed to stay for 1 night. We were checked in by a very pleasant young man.After a 4 hour drive we were Hungary so had dinner in the hotel restaurant where we were served by another very pleasant and friendly young waitress. The food itself was of a very high quality and beautifully cooked and plenty of it so full marking for check in and the dining experience. Now we come to the room and that is where the commodore falls down. The room itself was a basic double so not very big but the dark furniture made it feel even smaller. There were cobwebs everywhere the sheet had spots of dry ink all over it the shower was hopeless the shower mat was perished but thankfully the comfortable bed saved the day.overall it was a decent stay helped greatly but the food and the staff.like I say we only stayed for 1 night,would I want to stay longer...I'm not so sure.

Check in wasn’t very personal. Building is so beautiful and staircase seeped history. Slightly spoiled by a quirky tiny lift. Stairs and corridors are so tired and desperately needs to be decorated Bedroom was meant to be superior one but it was tatty, bathroom had hairs in bath and floor. Didn’t feel very clean. Shame as the room has beautiful sash windows and a great size. Bed wasn’t the best but that’s more personal preference. A lot of noise coming from the pub downstairs til gone 1am, not restful nights sleep Breakfast extremely basic if your looking full cooked breakfast you won’t get it here dried up fried eggs and bacon like shoe leather The young girl took our room number and lacked any hospitality skills e.g instruct us where everything is and if we wanted tea/coffee toast etc. It’s a real shame as this hotel could be soooo beautiful

I'm not sure who has taken photos of the bedroom but our room most definitely did not look like any of the photos listed. The room was OK but a double bedroom is not two single beds pushed together. There were somebody elses' clothes in the cuboard, the shower was absolutely awful- no power too it what so ever and had to physically hold the shower up. The tv did not work nor the WiFi. And when we arrived back to the hotel of an evening we weren't allowed on the terrace. There were a bunch of people enjoying drinks up there so im not sure why we weren't allowed either but reception informed us we did not have permission to go up. Astonished how they have won an award winning first place- even the smell throughout the room and outside is just awful. Considering the room was ￡120 for the night- I would have expected better. Definitely would not recommend- we travel often but this is by far the worst hotel we have stayed at. Just false advertisment !

What a fabulous experience. Beautiful rooms. Extremely clean and comfortable with all the extra special little touches that make the stay more enjoyable. The staff were so friendly, helpful and pleasant. The food was great too. Thank you

The double bed was two singles pushed together. I spent most of the night sleeping on the ridge between them and woke up with backache. The decor is jaded and needs updating. The bar Staff refused to serve me particular drinks even though the bar was still open.

I stayed at this hotel for a local conference. Second time I've stayed. Really enjoyed it once again The hotel is warm with nice staff. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. The room was nice and cosy with plenty of room to hold my things. Plenty of parking spaces. In the centre of Llandrindod and close to all shops. The roaring fire in the reception area is a nice and cosy touch

This is a family run business Andrea the owner was so friendly x I was having one of those days and she picked up on this and upgraded our room fab she even made us a snack lovely place and will definitely be going back thanks x and very central can’t wait to go back when the outside bar is opened

Young and lovely staff, hotel located in the middle of town, good parking and nice veranda to sit out on. The beer was reasonably price too, no complaints with breakfast either. The room (rm 15) was terribly run down. I compared it to the one shown on the hotels website and thought I’d been catfished! If I’d been staying with my wife I’d have walked away but I was on my own so stayed. For ￡110 a night they need to refurb.

Sadly this hotel isn't up to the Standard of Leasure Plex Hotels which disappointing we've been on many holidays with Alfa Travel with no real issues. The room wasn't very clean and it wasn't cleaned during our stay. Then the drink making facilities in our room wasn't great infact it was dismissal no satchets instead coffee and sugar was in a open small glass dish very off putting *it's not really hygienic* having coffee grains and sugar how would we tell if this was just topped up for the next occupants don't think so. If this had been our first holiday with Alfa Travel it definitely would be the last
