We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kumaon, and what stood out most was the genuine care from the entire team—from even before we reached the hotel, throughout the stay, and the follow-up continued until we got back home safely. That level of attention is rare and deeply appreciated. A special thank you to the Manager, Mr. Abhinav, for handling everything so smoothly. Also, sincere thanks to Mr. Suraj, Mr. Rakesh, Mr. Naveen Adhikari, Mr. Pushkar, Mr. Rohit, and Mr. Saurav for being consistently helpful, responsive, and courteous. The rooms were well maintained—credit to the housekeeping team, especially Mr. Nandan (Housekeeping),Mr Puran and Mr. Gaurav. The food was excellent throughout the stay—fresh, tasty, and consistently good. A special thank you to Chef Mr. Naveen Adhikari for making the dining experience exceptional. The Broccoli Soup, Ragi Kheer, and Gulab Jamuns were genuine highlights of our stay—fresh, perfectly prepared, and consistently delicious..A special mention to Mr. Nandan (Naturalist) as well—his knowledge and guidance added real value to the experience. Overall, the team did everything one could expect and more. Thank you, Hotel Kumaon, for such a comfortable and memorable stay.

We had a super stay end of November 2025 at The Kumaon. A very old bucket list ticked off. A super property inspired on the architect of the eternal Geoffrey Bawa's work, this place does not disappoint at all. Our is it was too short, but we enjoyed the property, the treks, the spa, the delicious Kumaoni food, all superbly curated by the amazing team led by Abhinav (not Anubhav) Trivedi, Pushkar, Nandan, Rohit, Chef Naveen et al. The room was cozy, just needs a larger heater in the bathroom too, a nice espresso machine, and I will be sorted. The icing on the cake are the 4 wonderful doggies, Juno, Elsa, Gucci, Coco We are definitely coming back. For a longer visit

We spent 6 nights here and had just an amazing time. I think you need that time to really get the place, the people and the beauty of the Himalayas. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, but when you add to that the service of the entire staff at the Kumaon, it makes for a magic experience for sure. So happy we found this little gem. Many thanks to Pushkar for arranging every detail imaginable. And our nature guide, Suraj, took us out each and every day and made sure we didn’t miss a thing. And if that wasn’t enough, the food was incredible - thank you Naveen!! Clearly Abhinav and Neeraj know how to run a 5 star property and that’s the experience. We live in the US and travel a great deal to some of the best hotels in the world and this place is right there. Highly recommend. Thanks to the whole staff that I haven’t mentioned and you really do get to know them. Big thank you to Pushkar, Suraj, Neeraj, Anand, Rohit and the outstanding housekeeping crew keeping the fire burning and the French press coffee each AM - Guarav, Saurabh.

Excellent resort at an amazing location. The cottages all have stunning views and are well stocked. The fireplace is amazing for winters. Service is exceptional and warm. The team is always available. We requested them to setup the fireplace late in the night and they were happy to oblige. The chef and his team are amazing and serve a very nice set menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food alternates between local Kumaoni, continental and Indian. Well presented and service in the restaurant is warm. Given it’s a small property, menu options beyond the set menu are limited but the team is always willing to cook up a special dish on request. We went on 2 hikes with the Nandan, the naturalist. The team knows the trails well, they are careful and set the right pace. We really enjoyed our treks. The forests and the views make it an unforgettable experience. Evening tea around the bonfire is a nice way to wind down. Abhinav, the GM is always around, knows his job and the resort provides a 5 star+ experience. It’s a pet friendly resort and they have 3 beautiful in-house pets. Thanks to all the team for an unforgettable experience.

Superb view but access to rooms and the hotel itself is not easy for senior citizens. The staff and food were great and the bonfire nights charming. The heated bed with a fireplace in the rooms made for a good nights rest Hot water showers were a challenge… We got away without a scratch, especially with a challenging terrain within the hotel.

I got married there 2 days back. It was the first wedding at the property ever. But one could’ve mistaken them as pros! I am so happy that I chose them for my venue. From rooms to food everything perfection. For any request the team smiled and fulfilled it, without a line of face. Nothing comes close to the experience and hospitality they provide. And I am thankful to each and every staff member present there. ??

Beautiful property…!!!! I witnessed a very beautiful wedding and it was a perfect 4 day stay!!! The resort view is amazing and the staff was very helpful and welcoming. They took us for a small hike to Kasar Devi temple. It’s a must visit place.
