Just returned from a very enjoyable 2 night stay here. We were greeted by the hosts who were very friendly and chatty , The rooms are lovely and clean and the bed was really comfortable , I’m fussy with my pillows but these were just right . The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice , my husband commented about the cooked breakfast saying it was the nicest he’s had in a while . Nothing negative to say about this lovely place .We will definitely stay here again when we return to Llandudno. Thanks catherine & Steve Price ….( Wayne’s friends ) ??

We enjoyed a great stay using it as a base for exploring North Wales on our motorbikes. We had safe and secure named spot parking which was really appreciated. We had helpful tips and advice for our routes from Berin and a great breakfast to start the day. Our room was super comfortable, spotlessly clean with crisp linen and fluffy towels, highly recommend and we would return in future for further exploring, thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed at the Hotel on the 25th and 26th July,2025 to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We have stayed in Llandudno on a number of occasions and can honestly say that this Hotel is one I would definitely book again.I booked through their website so I was allocated my own parking space which is always a bonus. The Hotel is situated near to the Theatre a great location as it was a short walk into town to enjoy the shops and the local hostelries. It is a lovely Hotel with very welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room I stayed in was well proportioned and the beds were lovely and comfortable with en suite with a nice powerful shower. Breakfast was lovely on each occasion.Hot and tasty using good products.Overall it was an enjoyable experience and made our celebrations special. Thank you Shelbourne Hotel. Tony and Shelagh.

Couldn’t ask for anything more lovely clean hotel with a charming warm welcome from the owners and the staff very impressed. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. The staff couldn’t do anything more to help you. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Shelbourne. The hotel is clean and so welcoming. We have never met nicer people! Berin went way out of his way when I wasn’t feeling well and his kindness will stay with us. Breakfast was delicious and the views outstanding! Thanks for the great stay!

Lovely warm welcome from both. They even catered for me with my allergies etc. Will definitely be back. Nice fluffy towels. Handy private parkin. Hotel is within easy walking distance to Venue Cymru.

memorable for all the wrong reasons! we had to cut short our 3 night break after the first night after a sudden unexpected bereavement and as the owner wasted no time in deducting the full cost for the unused nights from my credit card without any communication whatsoever I'll give my honest opinion of his little establishment, firstly the breakfast arrangements are awful, you get allocated an exact time you are expected to come down for breakfast, we were offered the last slot available which was 8;30, which is annoying as when on holiday you like to decide yourself what time you choose to get up and go for breakfast, normally breakfast is offered up until at least 10am, you have to pre-select the day before what you want to eat,, you have to tick off on a card either scrambled eggs, cereal, bacon etc etc, must admit i like to choose on the morning what i eat for breakfast not pre decide what i think i might like the day before, the rooms would have been lovely had they not been divided up to get the most bedrooms possible, the sea view we paid extra for was one window from a bay of 3 windows with a dividing wall right up to it, it was incredibly small and claustrophobic and just felt wrong with the beds squeezed in at right angles to the window, after entering the hotel on the first afternoon my son and my misses saw a chap loitering and asked if he worked at the hotel to be quite patronisingly told `i own it who are you and how did you get in?` he changed his tone slightly when they replied we are guests and used our key, according to my son he was a smart **** although i didn't meet him personally, overall the place has a small guest house feel and non of the buzz and excitement of there larger hotels we normally stay in at Llandudno, the location is a good treck from the pier which is the heart of the town, i personally would never recommend this place but the other reviews seamed good which is why we booked, well it wasn't actually we only booked as we couldn't get anywhere else near the centre and this was the only place with rooms available!

Upon arrival we were very impressed. The estate is beautiful and very welcoming. Once we arrived at the main entrance, the car parking signs were a little confusing and guests seem to have multiple areas they can park in - not just the sign posted parking area. We booked a two night stay (we intention to booking a 3rd night) but It wasn’t until we checked in that we noticed how soulless the estate was. Even with a full complement of guests, the hotel operates a tiny bar (with odd opening hours) and little other communal space. Staff are lovely but very young and inexperienced. Often highlighting issues out loud and senior staff members telling them off for being late / or doing something wrong in earshot of the guests. Breakfast is served from 08:10 but as I write this review at 8:40 - they are still putting out bits. You have a selection of meats, cheeses, cereal and fruit. Tea or coffee and toast is offered on arrival but is often forgotten or slammed down on the table because they are rushing. There is an option to pay more for a hot meal but given our experience so far, we didn’t think this would be a good idea. Due to its isolated location, most guests take advantage to the restaurant. The menu can’t be viewed online - only once you enter the restaurant. Menu choice is good. Presentation is decent. Food is bland. I had the Welsh Lamb and I struggled to get flavour from any part of the meal. Maybe it was frozen…We were going to eat from the restaurant twice but after this experience, we felt there was no value in doing this. The rooms are certainly basic and as always never a true representation of the pictures. The ‘hottub’ is actually a spa bath but is still a nice addition. The sofa has clearly been been overused and feel as though you sink to the floor when you’re on it. However, the bed was comfortable and room was clean. This is my first ever review of anything but given our experience and the potential the property has, I wanted to highlight with hope that the owners read.
