This is just the most wonderful place to stay. We booked the gourmet tasting break and did pay the extra for a suite which we got room one. Staff very friendly and can’t do enough for you. The food was amazing just the Hoggit from the bistro menu was very tough so could be improved on but the tasting menu on our first night was excellent. The rooms were absolutely spotless and I’m very fussy about cleaning ?? The bed was super comfy and beautifully presented. Windows were very drafty and did bang in the wind but we packed them and they were then fine. Room was quite chilly as only small radiator but didn’t bother us and curtains were insulated. It had a huge bathroom with his/hers sinks and clawfoot bath and walk in shower with Molton Brown products. Lovely fire in the lounge downstairs Breakfast was sumptuous with lots of choice including full English and eggs Benedict. Also buffet with cereals, juices, yoghurts and fruits. The walking around the area is fantastic and the little village is very quaint and very friendly. If you live the country, fine dining and relaxing give this charming hotel a try . You won’t be disappointed I would stay in this room again

There is no doubt this is an absolutely gorgeous place to stay and the staff are lovely and attentive. However, the menu is very limited and the evening meal that we had was, I'm afraid, dreadful. Baked potato soup was terribly bland - a heinz tin has more taste. The lamb dish was awful, morrel stuffed mushrooms were very unpleasant, and the lamb was tough and chewy. There needs to be a little bit more choice and a bit less pretentiousness where the food is concerned. I will say that the breakfast was good and cooked well. I would love to return but the food has completely put me off!

Superb in every regard; fabulous room, excellent food and fantastic staff. A warm and welcoming place with a lovely relaxed vibe. Our doggies were made welcome as well and chilled out very quickly. The tasting menu was amazing and a lovely wine list as well. We will definitely be back

We stayed one night in room 3 which was lovely. The bathroom was fantastic too although the shower not very powerful. Our room and lounges were all so cosy and welcoming. Staff extremely friendly. We loved it. Our evening meal was from the Brasserie menu was absolutely delicious but the main course was extremely small. Breakfast was ok however, my husband had to send back his bacon back to be replaced as it had been incinerated. Disappointing to think that it had left the kitchen.

This is a lovely hotel and from speaking to other guests it is one that people keep on coming back. Very warm welcome on arriving, given a quick tour and then shown to our room. We stayed in room 7, room was large with an extremely comfortable super king bed, plenty of space to hang clothes, small room with toilet/wash basin but decent shower with plenty of hot water. All the staff were excellent and very accommodating, very interactive with the guests. Food was excellent, as well as breakfast we had a evening meal and a Sunday roast, Unfortunately we both felt that the menu was a bit limited, I think if I had stayed a third night I would have had to eat a same dish. Hotel good for people with dogs, plenty of places to walk them. Certainly would recommend

This is the place that you dream about when you dream about staying in the Dales. So much character but cozy and comfortable with modern amenities. The staff is outrageously friendly. There was always someone to help you out with your boots or a drink or your plans for the next day. The lounge is sumptuous, the food far exceeded our expectations (dinner was top notch!). I hope I can return to the Traddock again one day.

Four of us had been touring around the dales, our neighbour who took us on this outing knows the area well having walked and stayed here for around 50 years. wer had dined out at lunchtime elsewhere. However, we decided to stop off for afternoon tea at the Traddock in Austwick. My wife and I have never visited. Well. It was a hot day on the 6th September, we sat ourside on the terrace, what magnificent views over the lawn, there are different levels in the grounds. The drinks were served , teas and coffees, delightfull. We had a peek inside, the lounges are magnificent, with sumptous chairs and settees. I bet its well worth staying here as it is a hotel too. I hear the food is excellent as well. This rounded off a truly relaxing day, the surroundings are picture postcard. We,ll visit again, as its a beaubifull building in a perfect location when you visit the dales.

We go away to a nice boutique hotel in the UK once or twice a year. This is the best hotel that we have stayed in for some while. It's large enough to find privacy if you want that but small enough to feel really friendly and to talk with other guests. Dinner and breakfast are both exceptional. As are the staff. They remember special requests and preferences and anticipate what the guests would like. All with a smile. The Traddock is in a lovely village with a village pub that also has lovely food as long as you don't want to eat after 8.00pm or drink after 10.00pm. If you do, the hotel has that covered with a late bar serving real ale as well as good cocktails and wine. I'm not surprised that people keep coming back. We will for sure.
