I’d rate it 4.5/5. Lovely, friendly pub with helpful employees. Our room was lovely, the beer garden was wonderful, as was the coffee van parked outside every morning. It was an easy 5 min walk into the high street. The only reason I’m not giving it 5/5 is because we booked it for the sake of it having A/C, which the rooms did not have & it was very hot when we stayed…they did provide fans in every room though! Would highly recommend!

We stayed overnight and had a reunion drink in the hall at back of the pub. As usual the Trooper covered all our expectations with the accommodation very comfortable, adequate and the perfect ‘can do’ hosting at our do. The Trooper is a short walk from town centre and parking is a little issue but not a major inconvenience as there are parking spots close by. As an ex- Windsor resident it will always be my go- place and there plenty of places to go to for breakfast nearby. Top marks from me, thank you James and team and see you again soon

We hired the backroom for my daughters 21st birthday. Amazing from start to finish. All the staff were fantastic the food supplied was great lots of it at a good price. Couldn't have got a better place to hold party it was just perfect for what we needed. We was allowed to decorate Hall in the day and clear the next day. The brilliant staff had cleared so didn't need to go and tidy THANKU THANKU THANKU

Great little hotel in the heart of Windsor. The rooms are small & pretty basic but they’ve got all the important things right. The bedding & towels were clean & fresh, the bathroom was clean with all facilities working. There was coffee/tea/hairdryer/extra pillows etc The staff were helpful & welcoming. The pub is cosy with a log fire and only a 10 min walk from the castle There’s a few pubs close by but plenty more places to eat and drink as you get closer to the castle. We went as 4 friends sharing a twin & a double and couldn’t fault it for the money. We stayed in the room right above and couldn’t hardly hear the pub downstairs.

This place is in a great location with excellent hosts. The room was quirky but very comfortable and had all the necessary accommpimenets and despite being by the pub, very quiet. The pub itself is very popular and the drinks are reasonably priced with a number of real ales and ciders; even better if you're a CAMRA member!! One of the best things here is the support for local independent businesses, with a coffee and light snack provider in the mornings and various food suppliers in the evenings; the pizza van is reasonably priced and highly recommended. Thursday evening was heaving with superb music from a solo artist.

We stayed for three nights and my only complaint was the mattress as I suffer from back problems. (I felt the springs, and it was soft) My wife who doesn't suffer from back problems felt the mattress was fine. Good pub for your night cap before you retire to your room.

We had a brilliant stay at the Windsor Trooper. 4 of us shared a family sized room which a great size. There was a double bed, single and a put up bed. All very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The pub itself is nice, and the rooms are adjacent to the garden in a separate building. We returned to our room at 10pm after eating out, and there was no noise from the pub or garden. The pub offers a great location to explore all of Windsor.

Fantastic roast! Definitely the best in Windsor; wonderful food from Leona and the team. Lovely atmosphere and great choice of drinks from the pub team. The selection of different vegetables was very interesting and diverse and really complemented the beautifully cooked meats. Excellent desserts and would 100% recommend!
