Dear Jonathan, Thank you for taking the time and for your feedback. We are sorry your experience hasn’t met your expectations. Our reception opening times are indeed from 5pm till 10pm, as is stated on our website. We allow our guests to park their cars if they arrive early and encourage them to explore the area. Hawkshead village offer multiple establishments to either shop or relax over a cuppa. Normally we are able to open a bit early and start check-in process from about 4pm, however during the Easter holidays there was a lot of pressure on the team as the hostel was full and we were short-staffed for the whole duration of Easter holidays.
