This hotel is old school charm . Every area is beautifully done and faultless but by far the most amazing thing about this hotel is the staff . We felt so welone and valued . Every single staff member is so respectful and friendly . Sebastian at breakfast is the most professional and polite and well presented young man and made the last few hours of our stay unforgettable. Thank you, just when we thought our South Africa experience couldn’t get any better I did !!! Loved every second of being there

I recently had the pleasure of having my parents stay at this incredible hotel, and I must say, their experience was absolutely exceptional! From the moment they arrived, they were treated to five-star magic with impeccable service, helpfulness, and reliability. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make their stay unforgettable. Their room was absolutely beautiful, clean and what a breathtaking view of the ocean! Truly amazing and relaxing stay - a home away from home in an abundance of excellence! The sound of the ocean and balcony view was one of many highlights that made this stay truly unforgettable! The food was exquisite, with dinner and breakfast being another highlight of their stay. But what truly made their experience special was the attention to detail and the way the hotel celebrated their anniversary in grandeur. The gifts, chocolates, flowers, and balloons were a lovely touch that made the occasion truly unforgettable. My parents were blown away by the hotel's excellence and the staff's dedication to providing a memorable experience. They left with lifelong memories and can't wait to return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay. Five stars isn't enough – this hotel deserves a glowing review!

Das Hotel The Oysterbox hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Start war etwas holprig wurde aber von Andrew am Front Desk gut gemanaged. Die Zimmer sind sch?n und gut erhalten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und professionell vor allem am Pool. In den Restaurants hat es sehr viele lokale G?ste inkl. am Frühstück was die Atmosph?re etwas trublig macht. Die Lage direkt am Meer mit dem Leuchtturm ist sehr sch?n und speziell. Sicher das Beste Hotel am Platz und einen Besuch wert.

Das Hotel entspricht einem klassischen 5* Grand Hotel. Vergleicht man es mit Mandarin Oriental, St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons etc. sind ein paar kleine Schw?chen im Service auszumachen. Die Mitarbeiter beim Check-in sind gut drauf, lachen laut und viel (nicht der Concierge!). Das g?nne ich Ihnen, passt aber nicht ganz in ein solches Hotel. Es kann auch nicht sein, dass sich eine Check-in Mitarbeiterin und ein Kollege sich mit einem lauten ?Best Buddy“ Handschlag begrü?t, als trifft man sich zu einer Poolparty. Beim Check-in erwarte ich eigentlich, dass man gebeten wird, sich zu setzen und der Check-in erledigt wird. Stattdessen steht man mit dem angebotenen Getr?nk am Tresen. Das benutzte Erfrischungstuch legt man nicht auf einem Tablett ab, sondern muss in eine Art ?Mülleimer“ geworfen werden. Unsch?n. Auff?llig ist auch, dass sich Mitarbeiter oft an den Hotelg?sten vorbeidr?ngen anstatt kurz zu warten. Das Classic Zimmer mit Meerblick (28qm) entspricht nicht ganz dem Standard, den wir erwartet haben. Das sehr kleine Bad hatte nur eine (Dusch-)Badewanne! Zum Duschen liegt eine Gummimatte parat. Das passt nicht zum Haus und schon gar nicht zu dem übernachtungspreis von knapp 500€. Bei der n?chsten Sanierung sollten die Badewannen durch Duschen ersetzt werden. Der Weg zum Zimmer wirkt duster und nicht besonders einladend. Das Housekeeping ist sehr gut und freundlich. Der Frühstückservice ist sehr gut. Teilweise werden aber Getr?nkebestellungen vergessen. Der Abr?umservice ist sehr aufmerksam. Die warmen Gerichte wechseln nicht. Die beiden Restaurants haben uns nicht überzeugt. Kein Vergleich zu den hervorragenden Restaurants in der Kapregion oder europ?ischen Hotelrestaurants.

The Oyster Box is exceptional. The Grill offers wonderful dining with great value overseen by George and his team who always offer first rate service with pinache and style and the bossa nova singer provides the perfect accompaniment . The spa staff are lovely and offer amazing treatments Still my favourite hotel .

Nous avons séjourné à l’Oyster Box sur le chemin de retour des Wetlands. Quelle belle parenthèse! Le personnel est au petit soin, le décor est magnifique et très soigné, vue sur la mer et le phare depuis notre chambre. Le buffet de curry au restaurant le soir est impressionnant et le petit déjeuner exceptionnel. Il semble que le high tea le soit aussi. Nous n’avons qu’une envie: y revenir!

Absolutely stunning hotel and extra special treat on arrival as the hotel left belated birthday cake and fizz for my husband who had his birthday 2 weeks ago. The staff in the hotel are amazing . The view from the hotel pool over the beach and lighthouse is stunning. We had a garden view room and it was equally lovely
