It was so, so welcome. True, traditional seaside hotel but with just the right amount of modern touches to make it feel like a convenient little haven rather than something dated. The sea views are absolutely gorgeous — you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the light roll across the waves, or wander just onto the beach. It’s also brilliantly located for an evening out, with lovely pubs and the theatre practically on the doorstep. The rooms are beautifully done — fresh, spacious, and spotless, with powerful showers and beds that are genuinely comfortable (not always a given in seaside hotels!). The staff couldn’t have been kinder. Breakfast outside was a real highlight — the seating area is beautiful, peaceful, and makes the most of those sea views. All in all, The Pier Hotel feels like a classic seaside retreat that’s been given just the right touch of modern comfort. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Living in Norwich, we are a mere 30 odd minutes away from The Pier Hotel, bar and restaurant in Gorleston. However, we avail ourselves of all of their services, dining and yes staying overnight although we don’t really need to ! First of all, the hotel. We have stayed in various different rooms including a suite. Every room is well equipped with good facilities and always spotlessly clean. Great bathroom with bath and shower over, plenty of towels, face flannels and shower caps. Comfortable bed. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Lovely views of Gorleston's award winning beach and/or harbour. And now the bar restaurant. The menu is varied and interesting with additional specials available each day. The food is always beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are fantastic and obviously well trained. They cannot do enough for you. The service is always prompt. This is a family run hotel/bar/restaurant which is evidenced by the warm atmosphere.

We have dined at the Pier on a number of occasions and have always found their food and service to be of a high standard - but, if anything, they have improved further. Great !!

The Inn was delightful - the only criticism would be the breakfast - not a ton of options. They could add hard boiled eggs with ham or sausage and some variations of bread.

Lovely grounds, exceptional ocean view and outstanding food and service at the in house restaurant.
Emin and all servers went above and beyond to make our dinners on the patio a highlight of our 3 day stay.
Would highly recommend.

Beautiful location. Very clean..Overall very positve stay!! Great pool and patio area! Just 2 small suggestions--maybe install a wall hanging rack that has 3/4 hooks on the empty end wall in the bathroom There is no place at all to hang robes,PJ`s,towels etc other than 2 hooks hidden behind shower curtain where anything hung there gets wet. Simple and inexpensive item Also despite being a nice large room .. there was a queen bed ---king would fit there easily. My Husband and I had a rough 2 nights trying to share a queen bed Maybe some people are used to that but we barely slept --maybe my fault for not reading booking description carefully It was a very comfortable quality mattress but way too small for the 2 of us. Great top quality Inn . Just suggesting 2 things to think about.

Cozy Inn
Wonderful inn in a beautiful setting. Staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were lovely, very clean. Great breakfast overlooking the water. Great restaurant on site as well.

The location was excellent — it’s surrounded by traditional Vietnamese food and within walking distance of the Michelin-recommended Bún Ch?, which is a must-try. The staff is friendly as well. The only downsides are that the room is quite small, which is expected for the price, and the noise levels can be an issue. I was woken up around 7–7:30 AM because people were talking loudly. I’m not sure if it was the staff or other guests, but the walls are very thin.

Wonderful hotel on the promenade. The staff is friendly and efficient. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were very good. The restaurant/bar is popular with locals and that’s always a good sign.

This hotel was excellent. It was quaint and modern at the same time. We rented two rooms with sea view and I highly recommend it. The staff was very nice and very sweet towards my grand baby. Would definitely stay here again!
